Because somehow this kind of fits, when Fakir and Ahiru were each fighting on in their own way. It's got absolutely nothing to do with Sakurai. 8D;

Warning: Long history text.

I started watching Princess Tutu years ago, when :iconkuridoki: recommended it to me. Although I quite liked it then, somehow I stopped around the end of season 1 and never really continued. Due to plans, preparations for another shoot and :iconsakura-rikami:, I finally continued this year... and fell completely in love with the amazing characters, the great animation, and the deeply wonderful storyline. Character development, plot twists, hidden meanings and foreshadowing... this series that originally seems like a light-hearted mahou shoujo is far deeper than most people would assume at first glance. It now has a special place in my heart, and will forever be one of my all-time classic favourites.

From my journal
Fakir is one of the first characters where I actually trained for my poses. With the other Tales characters and stuff so far, I mostly did research and tryouts in front of the mirror and so on. However, Fakir is a dancer (and a really good one at that), so I wanted my photos to reflect him as that. Various other cosplays of Princess Tutu I've seen display Tutu and Kraehe as beautiful lovely dancers, while Mytho and Fakir are just... normal people without the same grace. I really didn't want that, so months before, I began to add various simple ballet classes to my normal exercise routine. Everything matters when it comes to a dancer; the carriage of the head, the shoulders, the curve of the arms, the placement of the hand and fingers, and most importantly, the full turnout of the feet. With all that preparation beforehand which hurt sometimes; I'm not the most flexible person under the sky =w=;;;, I'm quite happy with my final result... although I'm highly regretful that I didn't get to use a lot of my research and stuff with Xun. ;w; Maybe for the photoshoot!!
